Tall Stacks Announces 2006
Entertainment Schedule
48 National Acts Scheduled to Take the Stage at Cincinnati’s Riverfront;

CINCINNATI – The performance schedules for all 48 national musical artists performing October 4-8 at the 2006 Tall Stacks Music, Arts & Heritage Festival are now available, festival organizers announced today. The impressive lineup (available online at www.tallstacks.com) featuring the country’s best blues, rock, folk, gospel, bluegrass, Cajun and more will draw more than a million visitors to Cincinnati’s riverfront. And visitors will pay just 25 cents per band to see it all.

The four Tall Stacks stages will host the more than 75 national and local performers in all. Local musicians representing the best of Greater Cincinnati’s local music scene will be showcased daily with national performances starting in the afternoons. About two dozen local acts will play on the new “Starbucks Emerging Artists Stage,” a coffee-house-style venue sponsored by Starbucks, hosting the area’s most promising up-and-coming acoustic performers. Two new national performers have been added to the lineup: Cincinnati’s own Heartless Bastards and the much-lauded 17-year-old singer-songwriter Sonya Kitchell. Both will perform Saturday on the Great American Insurance Group stage at the P&G Pavilion.

The five-day general admission ticket buys all of this entertainment and more for an outrageous value: just $22, or $20 with your Kroger Plus Card at select Kroger stores (check www.tallstacks.com for participating locations) and free for kids 12 and under. General admission tickets and riverboat cruise tickets are on sale at www.tallstacks.com, 513-562-4949, 1-866-5STACKS, at the Tall Stacks box office in the Macy’s downtown store and at select Kroger Ticketmaster locations.
