NO WAKE ZONE
A No Wake Zone is in effect from during the entire event. The No Wake Zone extends from Ohio River mile 467.0, approximately three miles upriver from downtown Cincinnati, to the Riverside boat ramp at ORM 475.0 approximately four miles down river from downtown Cincinnati. This No Wake Zone also covers the Licking River from mile 0.0 to 0.8.

Boating while intoxicated laws will be strictly enforced.
RADIO COURTESY
VHF-FM Channel 16 is marine hailing and distress channel only. Keep channel 16 open and free of chatter. Conduct all non-emergency radio traffic on other channels. Channels 68, 69 and 71 are non-commercial, non-official radio channels.
ANCHORAGE AREAS
Recreational boaters will be unable to anchor West of Zone 3 or East of Zone 4 (see below), this would cause blockages in the travel zone. Boaters are permitted to anchor once they are in Zone 3 (East of Hooters Restaurant) or Zone 4.
RIVER CLOSURE
The Ohio River will be closed multiple times during the event. Nightly fireworks displays, parades and daily riverboat races necessitate this. Monitor marine VHF-FM channel 16 for daily closures and times.
VESSEL TRANSIT ZONE
Recreational vessels may transit the downtown area via the designated channel along the Kentucky shoreline (Zone 2 - see below). A line of buoys designates the two-way transit zone.
EXCLUSION ZONE
This zone (Zone 1 - see below) is an area on the Ohio side of the River from the I-471 Bridge to the Roebling Suspension Bridge, designated by a line of white buoys. Any vessel attempting to enter this zone will be intercepted and boarded by the U.S. Coast Guard and is subject to federal prosecution. Also, an exclusion zone exists one hundred feet around all event vessels.
ENFORCEMENT
Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies will enforce the above rules and regulations. These rules and regulations have been implemented to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all involved.
