The Tall Stacks Music, Arts & Heritage Festival has both in-school and at-the-event educational opportunities. What could be more fun than studying the steamboat age along with the excitement of Tall Stacks! In 2003, there will be a lot to do!
Education Program Launch--May 8, 2003
On May 8, we will launch the Tall Stacks Education and Family Fun program on this page on our website and will include all the information you'll need to get ready for Tall Stacks. This will include information on making reservations for school field trips. Yes, school groups will need to make reservations to come down to the Tall Stacks festival site. We will start taking reservations in August 2003 (please check back at that time for more information about reservations). There will be no Fourth Grade Preview Day as has been done at the previous Tall Stacks events.
In the mean time, there are some things you can do:
Book a Harbor Cruise for your School Group!
We are currently taking reservations for Harbor Cruises for school groups (your group must be for 30 or more people for the same Harbor Cruise). Harbor Cruises last one hour and leave at various times in the morning and afternoon each day of the festival (Wednesday through Sunday). For more information or to make a reservation contact Nellie Cummins, Tall Stacks Group Sales Manager, at (513) 721-3555.
Check out a copy of the video Tall Stacks '99 School Fun: Thematic Educational Activities for School Age Children available through the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.
You can also access the 1999 Activity Guide, which was developed for the last Tall Stacks event held in 1999, for some classroom fun. (Requires free software: Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
